Protect the lives and property of residents and visitors by providing fire suppression, fire prevention, emergency medical services, public education and other emergency related services, which promote safety and security, enhance sustainability, and enrich the quality of life through dedication to service.

History

 
The organization of the fire department started with the acquisition of hose carts that were stored in the fire station. When a fire started, someone would run to the school house to ring the school bell. When the residents heard the bell, they would run to the fire station and haul the carts to the scene of the fire.
