Ribbon Cutting at Commuter Lot 1

Palmer-Sells-Steele Ribbon Cutting

On Tuesday, October 15, Stephen Palmer of Metra, Village President Benjamin Sells and Metropolitan Water Reclamation District President Kari Steele cut the ribbon on the Village’s new permeable paver commuter parking lot.  By replacing the old asphalt parking lot with permeable pavers and adding a rain garden featuring native plants and a bioswale, the village will be able to divert up to 200,000 gallons of rainwater per rain event from the combined sewer system.  Thank you MWRD for partnering with the Village of Riverside and Metra to make this project a success!
