MWRD Update

MWRD Logo Cropped for Website

On or about April 3, the intercepting sewer lining operation on Forest Avenue, nearest the Des Plaines River, will relocate to Riverside Road near the Lawton Road intersection. The lining equipment will take up the parking spaces immediately Southeast of the Police/Fire parking lot. From this location, the contractors will be working back toward the BNSF railroad tracks. The lining operation operating near the Forest Avenue and Kimbark Road intersection will remain in place as lining progress moves toward the railroad tracks.

Lining work will soon re-start on First Avenue also.  This will again require lane closures on 1st Avenue; however, the lane closures will be further North, near Loyola University Medical Center.

The project remains on track for substantial completion by the end of 2017.
