In the coming weeks, residents may see employees of Davey Resource Group in the village conducting an inventory of the village's trees. The partnership with Davey will update information on the existing public tree inventory throughout the Village. Each tree will be evaluated by certified arborists with regard to tree size, condition and other characteristics. This project is possible because the Village was awarded funds by the Morton Arboretum and US Forest Service as part of an Urban and Community Forest grant program. There will be three employees from Davey recording data and evaluating trees on the public right of way in the coming weeks. They will be in uniform, wearing Davey shirts and caps.
