About the Commission
This Commission approves building projects for local historic structures and performs activities consistent with its role as a preservation advocate. The Commission's duties include preserving the national historic landmark designation of the Riverside landscape architectural district and its significance as Frederick Law Olmsted's first planned suburban community, and protecting such designation from possible adverse impacts of future development.
