Parking in Riverside
No parking is allowed on any Village street between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.
Guest overnight parking is allowed in Village Parking Lot Number 1 which is located on the north side of the intersection of Barrypoint Road and Bloomingbank Road. Lot Number 1 is directly west of the Riverside Train Station. Parking in the brown numbered spaces is prohibited. Blue numbered parking spaces are available to the public. The hourly fee for parking in the blue numbered spaces is $0.30 for every hour.

Resident Permit Parking
There are many apartments and condos near the Central Business District with no designated overnight parking. To these residents, the Village offers parking by quarterly permit only. The cost is $200 per quarter. The following lots are available for residents with a valid parking permit:
- Lot 1 - 56 Bloomingbank Road
- Lot 2 - 71 Pine Ave
- Lot 3 - Park Pl
- Lot 4 - 50 Pine Ave
There may be a waiting list for residential lots. New tenants/owners are not guaranteed a parking space. Landlords or sellers cannot provide, hold, transfer or guarantee spaces in any village lot. The typical wait time for a residential parking space is 6 months. You will be called when a space is available. Please complete a Permit Parking Wait List Form to be placed on the waiting list.
If you find yourself on a waiting list for parking, hourly parking is available in Lot 1, between the Train Station and Riverside Swim Club. There is a parking meter machine located at the west end of the train station platform. Park in any space with a blue numbered tag. Remember the number of the space you parked in and enter that number into the machine. Payment can be made by cash, credit card, with your phone via app - Passport Parking or phone (708) 716-0716. The Zone for each of these options is 60546. Signage explaining payment options is located above the pay machine. The metered spaces cost 30 cents per hour, and can be programmed for up to 24 hours at a time. These spaces are free on weekends, from midnight on Friday until midnight on Sunday, and on holidays.
Some spaces are paid by the hour/day and some are sold as quarterly permits for $160. The spaces with blue number signs are metered, and the meter machine is located on the west end of the train station platform. Payment can be made with coins, bills (up to $20), and with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).
In addition customers may pay with an app or over the internet by visiting the PassportParking website or using their app. The zone to use when paying with the application or on the web is 60546. The parking rental rate is 25 cents per hour block of time and customers may pay for up to 24 hours at a time. These spaces are free on weekends and holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day).
These spaces are for daily commuters (6 a.m. - 9 p.m.) by quarterly permit only, which cost $160 per quarter. These spaces are free on weekends and holidays.
Generally, there is a short waiting list (3-6 months) for spaces in lot 1, and a longer waiting list (2-3 years) for spaces in lot 8. Please complete a Permit Parking Wait List Form to be placed on the waiting list. You will be called as soon as something becomes available.
Visitor Parking (Central Business District)
Weekend & Holiday Parking
Parking holidays are: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The following lots have free parking on weekends and holidays:
- Lot 1 - 56 Bloomingbank Rd.
- Lot 8 - East of Longcommon Rd railroad crossing
- Lot 9 - 27 Riverside Rd.
Business owners must apply for employee parking permits by completing a Business Parking Application. Parking permits are renewed quarterly and allow employees to park in designated Lot 10 spaces only during shift hours.

Additional Parking Restrictions
Village ordinance 9-1-15 (J) states that parking is prohibited between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Lawton Road, on the north side from South Delaplaine Road east to the west line of Harlem Avenue.
Village ordinance 9-1-15 (K) states that parking is prohibited between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. at the following places, except Saturday, Sunday and holidays:
- On Addison Road, on the north side, from Delaplaine Road to Harlem Avenue.
- On Forest Avenue, on both sides, from Kimbark Road west to Groveland Avenue.
- On Lincoln Avenue, on the west side, from Park Place north to Forest Avenue.
- On Pine Avenue, on both sides from East Avenue to a point approximately 625 feet west thereof.
9-1-15 (L) states that parking or standing is prohibited when school drop off zones are in operation, during the following times 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
