Register now for the October Solar Summit! The Village of Riverside is partnering with the Village of Brookfield on October 6 for a “Solar Summit” geared towards homeowners and homebuilders considering “going solar”. The agenda includes:
- An overview of solar photo-voltaic (PV) panel installations on roofs – either as retrofits on existing homes or as part of new construction projects;
- Tips from industry experts at BrightLeaf, a green energy home builder in Cook County along with Sunrun, a national leader in solar PV projects – plus municipal inspectors familiar with such projects;
- Financing advice on leasing and purchasing options, the return on investment (ROI) and added home value; and
- Additionally, the villages are working to line up home tours in Riverside and Brookfield to see, first hand, completed projects.
The event is free to the public, register here. The first 30 registrants will get a little “swag” available for pick up at the event – starting at 10 AM on Saturday October 6. We will also feature a raffle of an electric bicycle at the event’s closing at noon.
