Be a part of Riverside’s first-ever BioBlitz! on Saturday, May 11. Several sessions are available. Volunteer for a few hours or the whole day. Help scientists spot and count the different types of plants, mammals, birds and other critters in the natural areas along the river. Experts from the Field Museum, Lincoln Park Zoo, Morton Arboretum and more will lead volunteers through the forests to identify species. The census will be posted online so everyone around the world can see Riverside's amazing biodiversity. Morning and afternoon walks will be held, starting at Scout Cabin in Riverside.
