The holiday season comes to Riverside and Brookfield this Friday with the Holiday Stroll in Riverside's Central Business District and Holiday Magic at Brookfield Zoo.
Brookfield Zoo expects a crowd this weekend for thier Holiday Magic festivities. It’s anticipated that high traffic volumes will occur late Friday afternoon and be heavy throughout the weekend. With weather forecasted at 40-48 degrees, and only a slight chance of rain, Brookfield Zoo staff is preparing for large crowds.
Please use caution and patience when traveling in the Brookfield Zoo area. Expect congestion on First Avenue, Ridgewood Road and 31st Street. Taking into consideration the construction underway at First and Ridgewood, traffic volumes could be extremely heavy. Prepare for delays or choose an alternate route if possible.
