[ARCHIVED] Helping Seniors Stay Connected

The Aging Well Neighborhood program offers online classes to keep older adults engaged and to counteract the negative effects of isolation during this pandemic. All of the classes are FREE and no registration is required. Below is a sampling of some of the classes.

  • Total Body Coordination Fitness 
  • Anette Isaacs Presents: Levi Strauss, the Gold Rush, and the World’s most famous pair of pants!
  • Qi Gong Fitness 
  • Leslie Goddard Presents: Chicago’s Bygone Department Stores
  • Brain Blast Interactive Brain Workout Activities--Theme: Art 
  • Coffee & Conversations

Additionally,  Aging Care Connections, in collaboration with UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago and The Way Back Inn, and funding from the Riverside Township Mental Health Board, provides information and referral services to the residents of Riverside Township through the Riverside Township Community Resource Center.

The Community Resource Center is located in Township Hall at 27 Riverside Road in Riverside, but is closed until further notice due to the pandemic. However, you can still call and speak with a Community Care Coordinator on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 am -11:00 am and 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, as well as Saturdays between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.
