On Tuesday, September 14, 2021, sidewalk removal will begin as part of the 2021 Riverside Sidewalk Program. New sidewalk is scheduled to be installed September 16 and 17. Most of the squares slated for replacement this year are located in the Second Division on Lionel Road, East Quincy Street and Ogden Avenue. Residents whose driveways are impacted by this project have been notified directly and should register their vehicles for overnight parking using the Frontline PSS Portal on the village website. Please contact West Central Consolidated Communications – WC3 – at (708) 853-1384 for assistance if needed.
During construction hours, residents are encouraged to utilize parking on neighboring streets if possible to avoid interactions with construction equipment and crews working to complete concrete installation.
Please note that driveway aprons will be reinstalled in accordance with the Village Code and the existing geometry may be changed if the apron is non-compliant.
Concrete requires a minimum of 72 hours to cure. Barricades will be removed after the concrete has enough time to properly cure.
Please keep in mind that this timeline is subject to change based on weather conditions. Concrete cannot be installed when it is raining and installation may be delayed due to rain.
The Village of Riverside is aware of the disruption and inconvenience that will be caused by this work and appreciates everyone's patience and cooperation during this project.
