Mental Health First Aid

The holiday season can be a very stressful time for many people.  The COVID-19 pandemic has added an additional layer of stress to everything we do.  The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has resources available to help people understand what they may be experiencing and equip all of us to help one other.  Mental Health First Aid classes are free but registration is required.  Classes will cover the following topics:

  • Identifying, understanding, and responding to signs of Mental Health/Substance use disorders
  • Learning risk factors and warning signs
  • Showing a person who has a mental health condition that they are not alone
  • Becoming confident in assisting someone in crisis
  • Building a better understanding of Mental Health/Substance use disorders impact
