Riverside Police Department is proud to announce that Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), Northeast Illinois Region, selected Officer Joseph Mahanna to receive a special award for drunk driving enforcement. A presentation was held in Springfield, Illinois on Saturday, September 23, 2017
MADD’s Northeast Illinois Law Enforcement Nomination Committee stated, “This special Heroes award is in statewide recognition of the significant contributions Officer Mahanna has made to the fight against drunk driving”.
“There’s no greater satisfaction as a police officer than to realize your accomplishments are making a difference in the community you serve,” said Chief Tom Weitzel. “Officer Mahanna has demonstrated his commitment to improve safety on Illinois roadways and has no doubt saved thousands of lives,”
