1. What forms of payment does the Village accept?

The Village of Riverside accepts personal or business checks, cash, Discover, MasterCard or Visa credit cards. Payments online can be in the form of e-check, MasterCard or Visa. The Village pays the applicable fees for credit card use.

2. What do I need for a garage sale permit?

A permit is needed in order to have a garage/yard/house sale in Riverside. All that is needed is the name, address and dates of the sale. One sale is allowed per address per calendar year. The permit is issued at the front desk of the Village Office at no cost to you.

3. My gas lamp is out. Who do I call?

Our historic gas lamps add charm and ambience to the Village; however, they need special care. If you have any problems with a gas lamp, please report your issue using 

Riveside Responds.

4. When is the office open?

The Village office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. The Public Works offices are open 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday - Friday and Parks & Recreation offices are open 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

8. The sewer in front of my house is flooded. What do I do?

During heavy rain storms, it is especially important to clean the catch basins of leaves and debris. The Village sweeps the streets regularly but asks property owners near the catch basins to check the basins for debris whenever possible.
